Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers and Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction and Succession won big at the Writers Guild of America Awards on Sunday night. The Writers Guild Awards honor outstanding writing in film, television, new media, news, radio, and promotional categories.
Best Adapted Screenplay was presented to American Fiction, the winner for the Best Adapted Screenplay Academy Award, while The Holdovers won the award for Best Original Screenplay.
