- Her controversial Bangbus tour continues drawing scrutiny as officials assess whether she breached strict Indonesian laws banning explicit content creation.
Bonnie Blue’s latest trip to Bali has taken a sharp turn after the adult performer was detained during what officials believe was another one of her bold “sex stunts.” The 26-year-old content creator, already familiar with controversy, became the center of a police operation in Badung where officers seized props, outfits and her now-famous “BangBus.” The arrest has triggered intense public interest, not only because of Bonnie’s online following but also because Indonesia enforces strict laws around pornography. With several foreign tourists questioned and a developing police investigation, the incident has created a wave of debate across social media and within Bali’s tourism community.
Bonnie Blue Has Been Arrested in Bali after Allegedly Trying to Carry Out One of Her ‘Sex Stunts’

Authorities said Bonnie was detained alongside 17 male tourists aged between 19 and 40, most from the UK and Australia. The group was taken into custody after what officials described as a studio raid. Officers reportedly found 19 themed outfits labeled “School Bonnie Blue,” lubricant, pink necklaces, condoms, flash drives and sheets of Viagra pills. Police also impounded her customized BangBus, which she had recently shared online.
Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara confirmed that the raid followed a public complaint about “suspected pornography or the creation of indecent video material.” Indonesia bans pornography, and violations can lead to steep fines or imprisonment. Speaking to the media, Batubara said, “Today, with assistance from Immigration, we are releasing the 14 Australians who were detained yesterday for clarification and investigative purposes as witnesses.” He added, “They are being released because they do not meet the criteria for further suspicion, as the case is still under investigation.”

He also noted that four British nationals had explained their presence by saying they were part of a foreign community gathering. “[The four British nationals] stated that they were simply part of a foreign community gathering at the studio. According to their explanation, they were a group from the same area, and some of them are influencers or content creators.”
Three British men and Bonnie remain under investigation and continue to be questioned. No charges have been filed so far, and police have not revealed what specific activities took place inside the studio.
Bonnie Blue’s Rising Notoriety and Her Ongoing ‘Bangbus’ Tour

Bonnie, whose real name is Tia Billinger, has been traveling through Southeast Asia despite her Australian visa cancellation last year after a stunt involving “barely legal” teens during Schoolies celebrations. She has since targeted countries where Australian students travel for holiday breaks. Before the Bali arrest, she had expressed excitement about meeting young adults on winter trips, which only stirred further discussion about her audience and motives.
Authorities in Kuta have been monitoring her movements closely. Nine News reported increased scrutiny of foreign nationals involved in content creation that may violate Indonesian law. Social media clips show Bonnie driving her distinctive blue pickup truck packed with young men, a scene that adds to her already controversial image. She previously claimed to have been with over 1,000 partners within 24 hours, a claim that drew widespread criticism and contributed to her ban from performing in Australia.
As the investigation continues, many are questioning whether Bali could soon impose the same limits on her work. For now, Bonnie’s future in the country remains uncertain, but her latest run-in with authorities shows that her boundary-pushing approach continues to attract attention from both supporters and critics.
