What's Inside?

  • Owen Cooper, 15, becomes youngest male Emmy winner for 'Adolescence.'
  • 'The Pitt' scores Best Drama Series, marking Noah Wyle’s first Emmy win.
  • Seth Rogen’s 'The Studio' secures four major wins, boosting its total Emmy count to 13.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards delivered history-making wins and a few surprising upsets. Netflix’s breakout hit Adolescence stole the spotlight, winning six trophies, including Best Limited Series. The night’s biggest moment came when 15-year-old Owen Cooper became the youngest male Emmy winner ever, earning recognition for his powerful role in the psychological drama.

Medical drama The Pitt pulled beats out Severance and The White Lotus for Best Drama Series. After years of nominations, Noah Wyle finally earned his first Emmy for his lead role in the Pittsburgh-set series. Apple TV’s Severance didn’t leave empty-handed, though, scoring acting awards for Tramell Tillman and Britt Lower.

Seth Rogen’s The Studio added four more trophies to its impressive collection of 13 across the Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys. Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert received a standing ovation as The Late Show picked up its first-ever Emmy win, a bittersweet victory coming just two months after CBS cancelled the long-running show.
