Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr has recently commented on billionaire Elon Musk’s behavior. Appearing on On with Kara Swisher podcast, the actor who has recently claimed his first Oscar for Oppenheimer, shared that Musk should control his behavior. Musk is known for his unique approach to things and it has garnered several controversies to his name.
“I’ve only met him a few times. As an almost 60-year-old recovering white American male, I just wish that he would control his behavior a little more, but that’s not on me,” RDJ said.
“I know that this idea of ‘It’s all okay ’cause we’ve gotta get to Mars’ doesn’t really hold water with me. But again, you know, you have to look at all that he’s done that demonstrates why he’s valuable,” the Avengers star added.
Musk has made a few cinematic appearances in his lifetime which includes one of the most discussed appearances in Iron Man 2. He also appeared in season 9, episode 9, The Platonic Permutation of popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory. As for his wealth, the 53-year-old reportedly has a net worth of $270 billion after adding $33.5 billion to his wealth on October 24.

Elon Musk has maintained a charismatic billionaire characteristic and fans have long speculated that Tony Stark in MCU played by Downey Jr was inspired by the $270 billion rich mogul. In 2022, Iron Man screenwriter Fergus had a chat with New York Magazine and shared that the cinematic version of the popular MCU character was a mixture of Musk; billionaire, and politician (former U.S. President) Donald Trump; and Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs.
“Musk took the brilliance of Jobs with the showmanship of Trump. He was the only one who had the fun factor and the celebrity vibe and actual business substance,” Fergus told the outlet.
In a previous interview which was recorded on January 22, 2013, Musk revealed his fondness for the fan-favorite Iron Man. When he was asked if he loved Iron Man in the comics, he instantly said in the interview published in Computer History Museum, “I did like Iron Man, yes.”
However, he was surprised to know that Iron Man was inspired by his life. “I did not. That was pretty much, I would say zero percent chance,” the Tesla and Space X owner said.
