CM Punk’s return to WWE was a huge deal and the company has used the Best in the world to his fullest potential with a stunning narrative. The feud has been very much intact since Punk’s spectacular WWE return and even during his injuries. Seemingly, their brawl was supposed to end in the Bash in Berlin strap match as Punk claimed the victory but it was far from it. The personal touch to the battle which includes the infamous friendship bracelet with AJ Mendez (formerly AJ Lee in WWE) and their dog’s name attached became part of the storyline. Months after, Mendez who was one of the iconic WWE Divas, finally reacted to McIntyre’s feud with her husband.

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s clash has been one of the longest-running feuds of recent times as the superstars go after one another every chance they get. The hatred between them further escalates as it gets a personal touch. Punk screwed McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle in Scotland— his home country— costing him the World Heavyweight Title.

Later he came after Punk attacked him multiple times. A fan once gifted Punk a friendship bracelet with colors of the Chicago flag and his wife AJ Mendez alongside their dog Larry’s name. McIntyre came after the bracelet robbing it from Punk and even destroying it recently.

AJ recently spoke with Comicbook.com to promote her upcoming comic release Day of the Dead Girl with her partner Aimee Garcia, the website asked the former WWE superstar about the brutal brawl. “I mean this in the most loving way, I have no idea what’s going on,” AJ said with a gentle laugh.

“I’m weird about like — I don’t want to watch my husband wrestle live because I’m scared. It’s like a weird juju thing. But also, it’s kind of like when you go home from work, do you open up your email? It’s kind of like that. It feels like that if people can understand. So, I’m sort of on the periphery, and I get kind of looped in mostly for women’s stuff, because that’s what I’m interested in.”

She went on to add, “So my husband will let me know who’s the cool chick at the moment. And I’m so obsessed with people. Like Bayley and Naomi?” she added sharing that she is rather interested in the women’s matches.

“Those are my girls. So that’s what’s interesting to me. I kind of don’t know what’s happening in the storyline. I know that my dog is famous all of a sudden! He’s got some surprise merch coming. I’ve been privy to that. But it’s cool. I’m happy that he’s happy and healthy and just killing it. I’m proud.”

As for the feud, it is far from over, last week, Adam Pearce announced that the brawl would be extended as Punk and The Scottish Warrior would have to fight inside of a steel cage at the next Premium Live Event.

CM Punk addressed the potential return of AJ Lee in WWE during the Money in the Bank press conference sharing details of his wife’s potential and highly anticipated return.

“Hmmm…I appreciate the question,” Punk said at the conference. “You would have to ask my wife, but she’s not here. She’s taking care of Larry. I don’t want to fall in the trap of saying, ‘Never say never.’ I don’t want to give people false hope, I also will not put words in her mouth and say, ‘I think this could happen.’ I think this is a brave new world. And I don’t think a lot of people thought I was gonna show up. It’s really all on her” (via WrestleZone).

AJ’s WWE career started in 2010 until 2015 and she abruptly retired from her in-ring career with a three-time Divas Champion credit to her name.

As of now, the former WWE Diva has been busy with her comic books including Crazy Is My Superpower and Day Of The Dead Girl with Aimee Garcia. As for her WWE return, it is hard to tell but it would be a huge surprise similar to Punk’s return.
