Aubrey Plaza could not watch her own show The White Lotus for a reason that would surprise many fans. The actor recently had a chat with The Wall Street Journal and she shared that she never watched her season of the hit anthology series.

Aubrey Plaza played Harper on the HBO series The White Lotus for which she earned an Emmy nomination and astonishing critical praise but the actor never watched her own show. In a video interview with The Wall Street Journal, The 40-year-old shared that she had trouble opening her Max account when she attempted to watch Mike White’s show. “I still haven’t,” Plaza admitted, adding, “but I’m going to.”
“To be honest, I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally. I couldn’t figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can’t figure out the passwords. I just can’t handle things like that.”
Plaza would not have any problem with good old DVDs but DVD copies are not available anymore. “I’d love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore,” Plaza said. “I ask them every time.” Plaza candidly revealed her displeasure with streaming services for which the actor was deprived of the show.
However, in her chat with Variety in 2022, the actor shared that she did get to watch the first season of the show. “I was a fan of Season 1, but more importantly, I was a big Mike White fan,” Plaza told the outlet. “So I’m very excited to work with him. I’m very honored to be on this television series, and I hope I don’t let everybody down. It seems like everyone watched this show.” Now, it is hard to say when the actor will get the chance to watch the second season of the show as The White Lotus is set to return with its third season.

Aubrey Plaza who recently joined Kathryn Hahn for Marvel Studios’ upcoming magical series Agatha All Along for Disney Plus previously shared her frustration over the streaming platforms. In her conversation with Vanity Fair for a cover story in 2023, the actor candidly revealed that she gets “really angry” when she has to use streaming platforms.
“I was trying to watch ‘Top Chef’ Season 20. Couldn’t figure out how to fucking get Hulu + Live. I give up! I can’t. I just can’t,” Plaza said told the outlet. “And so what I like to do is go on iTunes and buy movies that are old. Or I’ll go on iTunes and just, like, buy the whole ‘Sopranos’ series, and then my husband will be like, ‘You literally can watch that for free on HBO Max.’”
Plaza has recently appeared Megan Park’s comedy-drama My Old Ass scheduled for September 13 release. She is also set to appear in Francis Ford Coppola’s ambitious project, Megalopolis playing Wow Platinum— a TV presenter specializing in financial news who loves Cesar. Megalopolis is set for a September 27 release.
