Deadpool franchise is hilariously funny. While the first two installments under the banner of Fox (before Disney acquired the company), were rather explicit, it was surprising how Disney allowed the same nature of the R-rated character to continue with its upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine. But it required Marvel Boss Kevin Feige to explain one explicit word that most employees of the superhero brand were unaware of.

Ryan Reynolds mastered Deadpool as it is hard to imagine anyone else playing the mercenary with a mouth with such fluency. However, his character also requires several explicit jokes and words coming out of his mouth. We are glad that Disney allowed the script of Deadpool & Wolverine written by Reynolds, and director Shawn Levy with Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells to include the same treatment that defines his character.

However, every word coming out of Reynolds’ mind was not comprehensible to everyone at Marvel Studios who worked under Kevin Feige. The Marvel President had to explain certain words, primarily p*gging. “There’s a line in the red band trailer,” Feige recalled during his chat with Variety.

“You don’t have to write this in the article for crying out loud! — about p*gging. I know what p*gging is; it’s in the first Deadpool movie. But there were people that I worked with and for who didn’t know what it was. I had to explain it to them.”

Of course, Reynolds’ Deadpool uses the word with his hilarious jibe at someone but the literal meaning behind the word is purely s*xual. P*egging, in its literal sense, is a s*xual practice, specifically an a*al s*x act where a woman penetrates a man’s a*us with a strap-on dildo.

Fortunately, for Feige, he didn’t have to Google any obscure joke or references “I know what you’re alluding to, and I’m not going to get into it. I’m an adult. I know all the references,” he added.

Feige also addressed the “c*caine is off-limits” joke delivered by Reynolds referring to Feige. But in reality, he never said they could not use the joke. “I didn’t say they couldn’t,” Feige clarified.

“But we were talking about everybody always being afraid of Disney-fying things. This is the biggest entertainment company in the world for 100 years. You should be so lucky to Disney-fy everything! But what people mean by that is shaving down the rough edges. We were open to everything.”

But it doesn’t mean that Feige never had any pointers, “I had said there were some things that we could evolve,” the Marvel President said. “After about the 28th time you do a joke, sometimes it’s not as funny. Maybe I’m slightly prudish when it comes to drug use,” he continued. “But I was like “Eh, it’s not that funny” in passing. Ryan, of course, stores everything in his brain for later use as excellent jokes. And he added it to the script,” he added.

Inherently, it is fair to expect that Deadpool & Wolverine will be the giant storeroom of intricate yet explicit jokes and funny references.

Deadpool & Wolverine is coming to the theaters on July 26.
