Will we see Taylor Swift along with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman? Everyone is hyped up for this year’s only MCU release Deadpool & Wolverine. Recently the makers showed a 9-minute exclusive footage at CinemaCon and fans attending the event were elated. Along with Reynolds and Jackman, many other X-Men and MCU cameos are expected to join them. Aaron Stanford’s Pyro, X-Men villains Sabretooth and Toad, and even MCU veteran Thor are some of the characters that are already confirmed. But along with other Hollywood stars and characters, one name has always been linked up to this much-anticipated R-rated film– Pop Superstar Taylor Swift whose recent album The Tortured Poets Department has broken many records.

No doubt, Taylor Swift is a master at giving easter eggs through her songs. And that’s what she has done, again making fans believe that she will be in Shawn Levy’s Deadpool & Wolverine

She has recently dropped her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department which consists of 16 tracks, Swift surprised her fans by announcing a second part titled The Anthology of 15 songs.

Swift took to Instagram to share that the album is “an anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions, and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure”.

And, the last track from the standard edition titled Clara Bow gives fans the hint they were looking for. In the song, the Cruel Summer singer declares, “You look like Taylor Swift in this light / We’re loving it / You’ve got edge, she never did / The future’s bright / Dazzling.

This subtle hint makes fans go crazy as they seem convinced that Swift will play the role of the mutant Dazzler in Deadpool & Wolverine. No one from the MCU or director or even the pop star herself has said directly about her involvement. But just like other internet users, even ComicBook.com also reacted to the inclusion of the word and her potentially being there in the movie.

Alison Blaire aka Dazzler was created by Tom DeFalco, John Romita, Jr., and Roger Stern and first appeared in X-Men #130. Dazzler has always been primarily a singer and superhero. She has been a member of a plethora of different groups and agencies. She has been an X-Men, Avengers, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Member of Excalibur, etc. She has also teamed with Deadpool. She has the ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams.

So, Swift’s choice to repetitively say the word in the song might be a genuine hint or it might be a coincidence. We will have to wait.

What Has Director Shawn Levy Say About The Rumor?

Regarding Taylor Swift’s potential inclusion in Deadpool & Wolverine, director Shawn Levy has commented yet again. He has neither “confirmed nor denied” Swift’s casting as Dazzler.

I can’t even believe that you would dare ask me a question that you know I can’t answer,” Levy responded to Entertainment Tonight during the 2024 CinemaCon when asked if the Lover singer will cameo as X-Men icon Dazzler. “You know I can’t answer. All of America knows I can’t answer that. I will say, as I said earlier here at CinemaCon, the proliferation of rumors about who is and isn’t in this movie is fabulous. Because no one will ever know the truth until July 26th.

Even Ryan Reynolds also echoed the same when he was asked the same thing saying that the “spoilers will be revealed on July 26.”

Deadpool & Wolverine will hit the big screen on July 26, 2024.
