Bill Murray is a Hollywood veteran known for his unique comic ability to make his characters exciting. The actor has forged his legendary career with his evergreen roles in classics including Groundhog Day and the original Ghostbusters. In a way, Murray is almost synonymous with the movie. Back to ghosts, when Johnny Carson asked the actor if he had ever seen a ghost, the actor candidly revealed one incident in Carson’s Tonight Show. “Yeah I saw a ghost,” Murray told the host.
“There’s a restaurant in that we worked in this thing on, in New York called the Tavern on the Green and there is a ghost there. And it’s, he’s a guy, he’s a waiter he comes up and he goes through the whole thing plays it perfectly straight. Says, you know? tells you what the special is and then takes your order and then he disappears.”
Almost everyone got serious for a while until Murray’s punchline. He has been a comedian for his life and comedy flows in his blood. He knows how to light up the faces of his audience with his subtle jokes.

Joining the new cast of Gil Kenan’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Murray and his co-stars from the original Ghostbuster movie including Dan Aykroyd. Director Kenan wanted the narrative to be a big step forward. “I mean, Jason [Reitman] and I felt like stewards of the Ghostbusters flame after we made Afterlife,” he told ScreenRant.
“That film was about rekindling that spark that began way back in 1984. And when we sat down to write this new film Frozen Empire, we already knew that a few things were going to move this story a big step forward.”
He added:
“We knew it was coming back to New York City. We also knew that, unlike Afterlife, this one was going to have a lot of ghosts. And not just great in number, but great in power and scale, and that they were going to present the greatest challenge that our Ghostbusters have ever faced.”
The director concluded saying that “was at the center of our instinct for how to move this story forward.” Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has a promising cast and the movie might be another stepping stone for future projects in the franchise.
