What's Inside?

  • Ejae hints at Taylor Swift joining KPop Demon Hunters sequel, sparking major fan excitement across music and animation communities worldwide.
  • The Academy Awards red carpet moment fuels speculation, as fans imagine Swift’s songwriting elevating the franchise’s global musical appeal further.
  • With Netflix yet to confirm sequel plans, growing buzz suggests ambitious creative expansion and potential high-profile collaborations in future installment.

Excitement around the animated hit KPop Demon Hunters continues to grow, and a surprising name has now entered the conversation. As fans eagerly wait for news about a sequel, one of the film’s key voices has hinted that global pop icon Taylor Swift could someday step into the project’s universe. The suggestion alone has already sparked curiosity among music and animation fans alike.

The buzz started during the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards, where singer Ejae, who performs the singing voice for the character Rumi in the film, spoke about the future of the franchise. The movie’s recent success, including major award recognition, has fueled speculation about what the next chapter could look like and which artists might shape its music.

During a conversation with Variety on the Oscars red carpet, Ejae did not hold back when asked about potential collaborations for a sequel of KPop Demon Hunters. Her answer immediately caught attention across entertainment circles.

She said, “If you want Taylor, you can come to ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ and write some songs.”

The comment was brief but powerful. Swift is widely known for her songwriting ability and global influence, so the idea of her contributing music to the next installment of the animated franchise quickly caught the imagination of fans online. While there has been no official confirmation from Netflix or the creative team, the suggestion alone highlights how big the film’s musical ambitions could become.

The original film built much of its identity around music, blending high-energy K-pop inspired tracks with supernatural action and colorful storytelling. Adding a songwriter of Swift’s stature would push the project into an entirely new spotlight, especially given her strong fan base across both Western and Asian markets.

Ejae also used the moment to reflect on the personal journey that led her to the project. In a previous interview, she shared how setbacks shaped her career and mindset.

“For me, more than success, we learn more from failures. We learn more from rejection, actually. I think that’s when you grow the most. Like, working out, for example, when you’re doing a new workout routine or when you feel a muscle tear, that’s when you know, after that week of pain, it grows, and that’s you. That’s what humans are, we’re very strong.”

For now, the sequel to KPop Demon Hunters remains in early discussion stages. Still, with fan demand rising and creative ideas already circulating, the possibility of a Swift-powered soundtrack could make the next chapter even bigger than the first.
